Charging Stops at 80%?
Your iPhone may stop charging at 80% to protect the battery. This can happen if it gets too warm during charging as part of iOS 17's thermal control strategy. Charging will resume once the device cools down. Moving your iPhone to a cooler area may help.
Why Does It Show "Slow Charger"?
To manage charging speed and temperature, power may be reduced when heat is detected. This helps lower device temperature without noticeably affecting speed or performance. With iOS 18, a "Slow Charger" notification may appear as part of the system's software strategy. Charging remains stable and safe, with no negative impact on the iPhone.
