List of safety warnings for COMPUTING MICE based on the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR):
• Ergonomics and repetitive movements:
* Use the mouse in an ergonomic manner to avoid strain and injuries. Take regular breaks to reduce the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome or other issues related to repetitive movements.
• Cleaning and maintenance:
* Disconnect the mouse from the computer before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the mouse. Avoid using liquids that could enter the inside of the device and damage it.
• Cable and connections:
* Ensure that the mouse cable is properly connected to the computer and is not damaged. A damaged cable may pose an electric shock hazard or cause the mouse to malfunction.
• Batteries (if applicable):
* If using a wireless mouse with batteries, use batteries of the correct type and insert them properly. Remove batteries when the mouse is not used for a prolonged period to prevent leakage and damage.
• LED lighting (if applicable):
* Avoid staring continuously at intense LED light, which may cause eye strain.
• Children:
* Keep the mouse and small components (e.g., batteries, USB receivers) out of reach of children to avoid the risk of swallowing or choking.
• Recycling:
* Dispose of a used mouse at an appropriate recycling point to minimize environmental impact.
• Usage:
* Do not use a damaged mouse, as this risks electric shock or cuts.
• Repairs:
* Do not repair the mouse yourself; take it to a service center.
• Storage:
* Store the mouse in a dry place, away from moisture and extreme temperatures.
Following the above rules reduces the risk of injury, equipment breakdown, and property damage. Ignoring them may lead to serious health and technical problems.Detailed information and additional warnings can be found in the user manual included with the product or in PDF format on the manufacturer/supplier website.
