MAGNETIC MOUNTS / HOLDERS
List of safety warnings for MAGNETIC MOUNTS / HOLDERS based on the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR):
1. Intended use: The mount is intended exclusively for securing compatible accessories on flat surfaces using magnetic attraction. Do not use it to support items exceeding the maximum allowable weight specified by the manufacturer.
2. Choking hazard: The product contains small parts and magnets. Keep the mount and its components out of reach of children and pets. Swallowing magnets can lead to serious internal injuries and, in extreme cases, death.
3. Magnetic field: The product generates a strong magnetic field. Keep the mount away from pacemakers, medical implants, payment cards with magnetic strips, hard drives, and other devices sensitive to magnets.
4. Assembly safety: Before adhering the mounting base, ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and degreased. Improper mounting may cause the holder to peel off and the mounted device to fall, risking damage.
5. Pinch hazard: Exercise caution when bringing accessories close to the magnetic mount. Strong attraction can cause components to snap together abruptly, creating a risk of painful pinching of fingers or skin.
6. Stability in motion: If the mount is used on moving elements (e.g., laptops, tablets), regularly check the strength of the connection. Sudden shocks can weaken the magnetic hold and lead to the detachment of the accessory.
7. Temperature conditions: High temperatures (e.g., leaving the device in a hot car) can weaken the adhesive strength and the magnetic properties of the product. Avoid mounting near intense heat sources.
8. Proper removal: When removing the adhesive base, do not use sharp tools that could damage the desk surface or device housing. Gentle prying and using adhesive removers based on safe solvents is recommended.
9. Maintenance: Clean the mount exclusively with a dry cloth. Avoid using strong chemical agents that could react with the magnetic coating or weaken the plastic structure.
10. Product identification: Keep the original packaging containing manufacturer details and batch number. This information is necessary for product identification in case of complaints or safety notifications in accordance with GPSR.
Following the above rules reduces the risk of injury, equipment breakdown, and property damage. Ignoring them may lead to serious health and technical problems.Detailed information and additional warnings can be found in the user manual included with the product or in PDF format on the manufacturer/supplier website.
