Label printer
List of safety warnings for the label printer based on
the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general
product safety (GPSR):
1. Use the device as intended
The label printer is intended for printing labels,
markings, stickers, and similar consumables
compliant with the manufacturer's specification. Do not use the device for
purposes other than those intended by the manufacturer.
2. Use only compatible labels and
consumables
Use label rolls, thermal paper, and accessories compatible with the model
of the printer. Inappropriate materials may cause jams,
overheating, incorrect printing, or damage to the printing
mechanism.
3. Do not touch the printhead immediately after operating
the device
Thermal printers use heating elements. The print
head may be hot immediately after printing. Before
touching the inside of the device, wait until it cools down.
4. Do not insert fingers or objects into the printing
mechanism
Do not place fingers, tools, paperclips, staples, or other
objects into the print slot, roll compartment, or label feed
mechanism. This may cause injury, jamming, or
damage to the printer.
5. Exercise caution when replacing the label roll
Before replacing the roll, ensure the device is switched off or
is not printing. Do not use force when opening the cover or
when inserting consumables.
6. Protect the device from moisture and liquids
Do not use the printer near water, sinks, wet countertops, or in
rooms with high humidity. Spilling liquid on the device may
cause a short circuit, electric shock, fire, or permanent
damage to the equipment.
7. Do not use the device near heat sources
Do not leave the printer near radiators, stoves, heated
surfaces, inside a car during hot weather, or in direct
sunlight. High temperatures can damage the housing,
battery, or electronic components.
8. Charge the device only in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations
For charging, use a cable and power source compliant with
the manufacturer's requirements. Do not use damaged cables, chargers,
or USB ports. Do not leave the device connected to
charging unattended for an excessively long time.
9. Do not use the device if the battery appears damaged
If the housing is swollen, overheats excessively, emits
an odor, smoke, or liquid, or if the device operates unstably, immediately
discontinue use, disconnect it from the power supply, and contact
service.
10. Do not disassemble or modify the device
Do not open the housing, do not attempt to replace the
battery yourself, repair electronics, or modify the printing
mechanism. Self-repairs may be dangerous and can
result in voiding the warranty.
11. Do not use the printer while charging if the manufacturer
prohibits it
For models with a battery, follow the manufacturer's
instructions regarding operation while charging. If the device
overheats excessively during charging or printing,
discontinue use.
12. Exercise caution with Bluetooth connection and mobile
application
Use only the official application or software
recommended by the manufacturer. Download applications only from trusted
sources. Unauthorized software may affect the
operation of the device or data security.
13. Do not print labels with information that may be
misleading
For labels used to mark food, medicines,
containers, cables, documents, or products, ensure that
the label content is correct, legible, and up to date. Incorrect marking
may lead to improper use of the marked items.
14. Do not apply labels in places for which they are not
intended
Before use, check whether a given label is suitable for the
surface, temperature, humidity, and operating conditions.
An unsuitable label may peel off, become illegible, or
leave adhesive residue.
15. Keep labels and small parts out of reach of children
Label rolls, sticker scraps, peeled backings, end caps, and other
small parts may pose a swallowing or choking hazard.
Children should use the device only under supervision of
an adult.
16. Do not allow children to charge or disassemble
the device on their own
The device contains electronic components and a battery.
Charging, cleaning, replacing consumables, and
opening the cover should take place under supervision of an
adult.
17. Clean the device carefully
Before cleaning, turn off the printer and disconnect it from the power supply. Clean
the housing with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not spray cleaning
agents directly onto the device and do not use aggressive
chemicals.
18. Do not use the device if it has been mechanically
damaged
If the printer has fallen, cracked, been flooded, has a damaged
cover, charging port, or label feed mechanism, do not use
it until it has been inspected by a service center.
19. Transport the device safely
When moving or transporting, protect the printer against
impacts, crushing, and accidental activation. Do not
carry the device together with sharp or heavy objects that
may damage the housing.
20. Do not dispose of the device or battery with municipal
waste
Used printer, battery, cables, and electronic accessories
should be handed over to an appropriate e-waste collection point
in accordance with local regulations.
21. Comply with the manufacturer's instructions
Before use, read the user manual, technical documentation,
and additional manufacturer warnings.
Detailed information regarding charging, roll replacement,
cleaning, storage, and maintenance may vary depending
on the model.
Following the above rules reduces the risk of injury, equipment breakdown,
and property damage. Ignoring them may lead to
serious health and technical problems.
Detailed information and additional warnings can be found in the user
manual included with the product or in PDF format on the
manufacturer/supplier website.
