Brushes and Scrubbers
List of safety warnings for BRUSHES and Scrubbers based on the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR):
1. User manual: Before using the brush for the first time, carefully read the user manual provided by the manufacturer.
2. Usage: Use the product solely as intended (e.g., surface cleaning, grout scrubbing, polishing). Do not use brushes on materials or surfaces for which they are not designed (e.g., a hard brush on delicate paintwork).
3. Compatibility: For brushes mounted on devices (e.g., screwdrivers, electric brushes), ensure that the mounting system is fully compatible and the brush is properly snapped or tightened in place.
4. Maximum speed (RPM): Never exceed the maximum rotational speed specified on the brush or in the manual. Exceeding limits risks tearing out bristles or cracking the brush body.
5. Pressure force: Avoid pressing the brush excessively against the surface. Too much pressure can cause overheating of the brush, deformation of bristles, or damage to the drive unit motor.
6. Technical condition: Before each use, check whether the brush is shedding bristles, has cracks on the body, or shows signs of wear. Replace a damaged brush immediately with a new one.
7. Contact with liquids: In the case of electric (cordless) brushes, check the IP rating of the device (e.g., IPX7). Do not immerse parts containing the motor and charging ports in water unless the manufacturer explicitly allows it.
8. Charging: Charge electrical devices only using certified cables and chargers with specifications matching the requirements. Do not use an electric brush while charging.
9. Working in a damp environment: During wet cleaning, exercise caution to prevent water from getting into electrical ports or nearby mains outlets.
10. Eye protection: Always wear protective goggles when working with rotary brushes (especially machine-driven ones). There is a risk of splashing dirt particles, detergents, or individual brush fibers.
11. Respiratory protection: When cleaning dry and dusty surfaces, it is recommended to wear a dust mask to avoid inhaling airborne contaminants.
12. Temperature: During intense scrubbing, the brush surface and drive element can become hot. Wait for the tip to cool down before replacing it.
13. Detergents: When using the brush with cleaning agents, ensure that the bristle material is resistant to the given chemical substance. Some solvents can permanently damage or melt plastic brushes.
14. Splashes: Remember that a rotating brush can splash chemical agents. Protect skin and eyes from contact with aggressive household chemicals.
15. Small parts: Replacement heads, mounting screws, and bristle components may pose a choking hazard. Store brushes and accessories out of reach of children (0-3 years).
16. Storage: Brushes should be stored in a dry and cool place. After wet use, the brush should be thoroughly dried before enclosing it in packaging or a cabinet to prevent mold and bacterial growth.
17. Cleaning: Regularly remove tangled hair and debris from the brush bristles. Wash brushes with mild detergents and rinse thoroughly.
18. WEEE Disposal: Used electric brushes and their batteries are subject to selective collection as electronic waste. Do not dispose of them in regular household waste bins.
Following the above rules reduces the risk of injury, equipment breakdown, and property damage. Ignoring them may lead to serious health and technical problems.Detailed information and additional warnings can be found in the user manual included with the product or in PDF format on the manufacturer/supplier website.
